1ATM Rebates
Rebates are automatically posted to your account within two business days. We automatically rebate international surcharge fees, but in cases where the fees do not get reimbursed due to processing differences on some out-of-country networks or ATMs, please retain a copy of your receipt so that we can process any rebate of a surcharge that fails to refund automatically. The receipt must be presented no later than 60 days after the transaction cycle ending date of the SF Fire Credit Union account statement on which the transaction appears. Please note that any exchange fees do not qualify as ATM surcharges, and a surcharge must be clearly identified on your receipt for us to process the refund if it doesn’t automatically appear in your account.

3Money Market
APY = Annual Percentage Yield.
Effective October 1, 2026, a promotional 4.35% APY is available on eligible new money deposited into an SF Fire Credit Union Money Market Account. The promotional APY is variable and may change at any time.
For members with an existing SF Fire Credit Union Money Market Account, only eligible new money that increases the account balance above the balance in the account as of the close of business on September 30, 2026 will be eligible to earn the promotional APY. The portion of the account balance equal to or below the September 30, 2026 balance (“baseline”) will continue to earn the standard Money Market APY, currently 2.00% APY. The standard Money Market APY is also variable and may change at any time.
Example: Example: If your Money Market Account balance is $10,000 at the close of business on September 30, 2026, that $10,000 will continue to earn the standard Money Market APY. If you deposit $5,000 in eligible new money on October 1, that additional $5,000 is eligible to earn the promotional APY. If you then withdraw $10,000 on October 5 and later deposit $20,000 in eligible new money on October 12, $15,000 of the account balance would be eligible to earn the promotional APY, because the balance is $15,000 above the September 30 baseline.
For members who do not have an SF Fire Credit Union Money Market Account as of September 30, 2026, eligible new money used to open and fund a Money Market Account beginning October 1, 2026 is eligible to earn the promotional APY.
New money refers to money not currently held in SF Fire Credit Union accounts or funds that have been in another SF Fire Credit Union account for 30 days or less. Incoming transfers are limited to external sources.
The promotional APY applies only to eligible new money. Funds that do not qualify as eligible new money will earn the then-current standard Money Market APY.
Both the promotional and standard Money Market dividend rates and APYs are variable and may change at any time as determined by the Board of Directors, including after the account is opened.
The APY is the effective annual rate of return and assumes funds remain in the deposit account for a full 365 days. Dividends are compounded and credited monthly based on the account’s average daily balance. Fees or withdrawals may reduce earnings. No minimum balance is required to earn the stated APY, and there is no monthly maintenance fee.
Rates effective as of October 1, 2026. The promotional APY is available on eligible new money deposited from October 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026. Beginning January 1, 2027, balances previously earning the promotional APY will earn the then-current standard Money Market APY.
The promotional offer is available for a limited time and may be changed or withdrawn at any time without notice. Additional terms and conditions apply.
Fire Department Employee Premium
Active and retired Fire Department employees qualify for a 0.25% rate bump on eligible new money earning the promotional rate, bringing the promotional APY from 4.35% to 4.60% as of October 1, 2026. This promotional APY is variable and may change at any time.
For Fire Department employees with an existing Money Market Account, the balance in the account as of September 30, 2026 will continue to earn the then-current standard Money Market APY plus the existing 0.10% Fire Department employee rate bump. Only eligible new money will receive the additional 0.25% promotional rate bump. As of October 1, 2026, eligible new money qualifying for the promotion will earn a promotional APY of 4.60%.
The premium is the same for SFFD and non-SFFD Fire Department employees.
