Enroll with Zelle® in 3 simple steps:

      1. Log into SF Fire Mobile Banking App.
      2. Click on the Zelle® Icon on your mobile app's bottom navigation bar.
      3. Enroll your email address or U.S. mobile number.

Tips for sending money with Zelle® safely

Do you know and trust the person you're sending money to?

Zelle® should only be used with friends, family and others you trust. Why? Because you can't cancel a payment once it's been sent, if the recipient is already enrolled with Zelle®. And if you send money to someone you don't know, or you do not get what you expected, you may not get your money back.

Anything suspicious about the payment you're making?

Is the recipient expressing extreme urgency or claiming to be from your bank? Are you paying in advance for event tickets or a puppy you found online? In any of these scenarios, it's best to choose a different payment option. 

Neither SF Fire Credit Union nor Zelle® offers purchase protection for payments made with Zelle® - for example, if you do not receive the item you paid for, or the item is not as described or as you expected.

Are you treating Zelle® like cash?

While Zelle® and cash are certainly different, both provide the recipient with fast access to the money you send. With Zelle®, money moves directly into the enrolled recipient's bank account within minutes. And again, once you authorize a payment to be sent, you can't cancel it if the recipient is already enrolled.

1 To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account (note that savings accounts are not eligible for Zelle® at SF Fire CU). Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes.

2 Payment requests to persons not already enrolled with Zelle® must be sent to an email address.

SF Fire Credit Union will never call and ask you to send money using Zelle®, never contact you via phone text to ask for a code and never reach out to you to send money or provide a code.
