SF Firefighters Toy Program: How To Help
The SF Firefighters Toy Program believes that no child should be without a toy during a holiday season. Since 1949, it has evolved from a few firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families to, in 2019, 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children.
This year and this holiday season have presented some additional challenges, so the Toy Program needs your help.
Deliver a toy
Due to the pandemic, you will see fewer toy collection barrels than usual around the city this year. To help our community stay safe, you can ship toys directly to the Toy Program through Amazon or your favorite toy store:
Mail to: SF Firefighters Toy Program
2225 Jerrold Ave SF CA 94124
Please note that the Toy Program is particularly looking for ethnic dolls of all nationalities.
Donation of funds
There is a donation account for the Toy Program set up at the credit union; you may contact us by Secured Message, phone, chat, or visit us in the branch to make a donation. You can also donate funds directly to the Toy Program on their website.
The San Francisco Firefighters Local 798 Toy Program is a 501 c3 registered non-profit.
