Real-Time Alerts are Here — Just in Time for the Holiday Rush
For many people, the holiday season tends to be a frantic time, which make the holidays a popular time for fraud and scams. With so much on our plates, it’s easy to lose track of our spending and not catch unauthorized activity as quickly as we usually would.
That’s where Real-Time Alerts via the SF Fire Mobile Banking App come in handy. We’re excited to share that our app now delivers notifications in real time via SMS, push, and email.
With this new feature, you can receive immediate notifications for transactions, card usage, and balances directly on your mobile device. This helps you quickly spot unauthorized activity, avoid overdrafts, and make timely financial decisions.
Here are a few alerts that we recommend all members set up to keep their accounts safe:
Transaction Alerts – Set a dollar limit to receive alerts for any deposits or withdrawals from your account.
Card Authorizations – Stay informed about activity on your SF Fire Debit and Credit cards. You can receive an alert every time your card is used or set a dollar limit for alerts. We recommend opting for alerts on all card usage, especially during the holiday season.
Login Alerts – Get notified whenever your account is accessed online.
Automatic Deposit (Direct Deposit) – Get paid faster by setting up direct deposit and receive an alert as soon as your deposit is available. Direct deposit is a convenient and secure way to access your funds early, with no need to visit a branch to deposit a check.
Balance Alerts – Set a threshold to be alerted when your balance goes above or below a certain amount, or choose to receive daily or weekly balance summaries. This can help you avoid NSF fees and stay updated on your account activity.
To set up these alerts and more, open your SF Fire Mobile Banking App and [click on the “Alerts” tab]. If you have questions or want help setting them up, stop by your nearest branch or call 1-888-499-FIRE (3473).
