Shredding Paper, Saving Dollars

On Friday, June 10th, we hosted the first of two free 2022 Shred Day events for members in the parking lot at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco. This event proved as popular as ever with members, with a steady stream of cars coming by to take advantage of two industrial shred trucks. 

In total, we helped our members shred approximately 13,000 pounds of documents. With average costs of document destruction ranging from $1 to $1.50 per pound, we collectively saved our members between $13,000 - $20,000, while providing the peace of mind of secure document destruction. 

If you missed out this time, don't worry - our next members-only Shred Day event will be Saturday, September 10th, from 9 am - 3 pm. And our members are always welcome to bring a reasonable amount of documents - think a bag or two - to place in our in-branch Shred Bins when you visit our branches.
