When you use a Dig­i­tal Wal­let ser­vice such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Sam­sung Pay, your card(s) are assigned a dig­i­tal account num­ber that is not the same as your phys­i­cal card num­ber. Addi­tion­al­ly, indi­vid­ual trans­ac­tions are autho­rized with bio­met­ric ver­i­fi­ca­tion through your device, and trans­ac­tion data is encrypt­ed with one-time trans­ac­tion  secu­ri­ty codes that can­not be reused, so the trans­ac­tion infor­ma­tion can­not be used to fraud­u­lent­ly obtain your account information.

You’ll give them the last four dig­its of the Dig­i­tal Account Num­ber assigned to your card, which you can find with­in the card infor­ma­tion in your Dig­i­tal Wal­let service. 

Yes. Your plas­tic card num­ber is not used for Dig­i­tal Wal­let ser­vices, so while you should con­tact us to sus­pend the active Dig­i­tal Wal­let dig­i­tal account infor­ma­tion, you can still use your phys­i­cal card. 

Once your card is closed as lost or stolen, your Dig­i­tal Wal­let trans­ac­tions will not suc­ceed until you acti­vate a new card. 

Yes, in-app or web­site trans­ac­tions use the same secu­ri­ty fea­tures with your Dig­i­tal Wal­let ser­vice as when you make a pur­chase in-store: your dig­i­tal account num­ber and a one time trans­ac­tion secu­ri­ty code. Your actu­al card infor­ma­tion is nev­er sent to the app or website.
